Couples Therapy

Intimate relationships are highly complex. And yet, we mostly approach them with little guidance or support. We expect our relationship will provide emotional and financial safety, inspire us to grow, keep us sexually satisfied, give us safety but also novelty and excitement... this tends to be a lot to process. Couples usually have conflict over how they relate to their kids, how they handle money, how they manage time and share responsibilities, how they relate to each other's families, and how to keep their sex life passionate. It is normal that couples will have conflict in some of these areas.

In couples therapy we work to create deep and safe emotional intimacy and we learn how to co-regulate in times of stress. When we identify the obstacles to good communication we can gain a deep understanding of how our partner works physiologically and psychologically. As a result, partners can help each other heal and evolve through real contact and connection.

Couples therapy is done virtually or in-person. I welcome all couples, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, their stance on monogamy or religious beliefs.
